Fountain Memorializes Fallen Heroes

As a memorial to fallen Police Officers and Firefighters, this installation, designed by H.O.K. Planning Group, serves as both fountain and major public sculpture. The upper fountain consists of a 36-foot-long arced waterfall, topped by 44 individual nozzles that were custom designed for this project. Fiber-optic lighting is built into the sprays to create a glowing display with changing colors.

The lower fountains consist of a linear arrangement of fifteen five-foot- square fountains. Made out of black, polished granite, they each hold nine of the special nozzles as described above. All of the nozzles are computer sequenced to create interesting patterns atop this lovely memorial.
