Hydro Dramatics partnered with landscape architect Pennoni Associates Inc. to construct the dramatic Emerti Fountain on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania, located in California, Pa., near Pittsburgh.

The Emerti Fountain, a landmark and primary gathering place on the 190-acre campus, features 22 jets that are artfully illuminated by state-of-the-art lighting. The design incorporates underground water storage basins that are covered by custom-designed bronze grates. A nearby subterranean vault houses the mechanical systems. Pennsylvania quartz sandstone pavers, ornamental benches and attractive landscaping--which includes trees native to the area as part of the university’s Native Tree Arboretum--add to the overall ambiance.

Hydro Dramatics and Pennoni Associates Inc. currently are collaborating on the Convocation Center Fountain on the university campus. The project is scheduled to be constructed in 2011.
